Mac users are being targeted by malware distributed through Google ads which can steal passwords, cryptocurrency wallets and other sensitive data. Security firm, Malwarebytes, discovered the ads promoting a fake version of unusual browser Arc. Those clicking the ad were re-directed to a fake page almost identical to the real one. The malware, known as Poseidon, is being activley sold on criminal markets and can bypass a macOS security mechanism to steal a range of data.
