A cyberattack on Synnovis, an agency managing labs for NHS trusts and GPs in south-east London, has disrupted over 3,000 outpatient appointments and 1000+ planned operations. Consequently, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust are postponing appointments and operations, apologising to those affected. Criminals have reportedly attempted to extort money from Synnovis in exchange for sensitive stolen patient data.
