Joint research by Health-ISAC, Finite State, and Securin has identified around 1,000 vulnerabilities in software and firmware that can be exploited by hackers in medical devices and healthcare systems. These findings represent a 59% increase since 2022, with 300 breaches reported within the first half of this year alone. The report urges healthcare organizations to address vulnerabilities proactively, implement regular penetration testing and prioritize patching.
