A major cyber attack has impacted several London NHS hospitals and Synnovis, a pathology services provider. Mark Dollar, Synnovis chief, admitted that accessing some blood test results could take “weeks, not days”, thereby delaying urgent and emergency care. Several medical procedures were cancelled or redirected. The attack is the latest in a series of cyber attacks on the NHS, including last month’s ransomware assault on NHS Dumfries and Galloway.
