Synnovis CEO confirms ransomware attack at London hospitals

Synnovis, a major medical testing and diagnostics provider with partnerships including the NHS, has been hit by a ransomware attack that disrupted its IT systems. The attack, confirmed by CEO Mark Dollar, forced cancellations and redirection of patient activities, significantly impacting delivery of services at Guy’s and St Thomas’, King’s College Hospital and southeast London Primary care services. An IT task force is assessing the damage, with initial reports suggesting only 10% of services are running as normal.
