The BBC has announced a data breach affecting 25,000 people, both current and former staff, with a cyber attacker accessing files of the BBC Pension Scheme members. The data involved personal details, but not telephone numbers, email addresses, bank or financial information or passwords. The BBC confirmed the data breach wasn’t a ransomware attack and said the incident has been secured.
