Veritone, a technology company that offers AI services to several sectors including the US government, accidentally exposed c. 550GB of data on two unprotected servers. Found by cyber risk experts UpGuard, the data included client files from American governmental organisations, Veritone employee data and credentials, AI training data and Freedom of Information Act requests. Veritone, whose clients include the US Department of Homeland Security and Veterans Affairs, secured the servers five days after their discovery.
