Welltok, a Denver-based patient engagement firm owned by Virgin Pulse, experienced a data breach impacting over 8.4 million people. The breach was orchestrated by the Clop hacking group that manipulated a loophole in the file transfer tool of Progress Software. Exposed data included health plan members’ names, addresses, health information, as well as some social security numbers and insurance details.
