The Change Healthcare cyberattack has significantly impacted physicians’ practices. The American Medical Association (AMA) is making an effort to find workable solutions to maintain the financial stability of these practices. Results from an AMA survey show 36% of respondents reporting a suspension in claim payment, 32% unable to submit claims, and 22% unable to verify eligibility for benefits since the cyberattack. The AMA is advocating for regulatory flexibilities and financial relief.
