Health board apologises for cyber attack ‘anxiety’

The NHS in Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland has apologised for any anxiety caused by a “targeted and continuing incursion” that began over a month ago that saw patient and staff data accessed. No operations or appointments were affected and no data had been deleted or altered. The health board said it had launched a robust response in an effort to avoid a repeat incident.
