The recently proposed U.S. Cyber Trust Mark will give a certification label to IoT manufacturers signifying their adherence to cybersecurity standards and best practices, thereby giving consumers more trust when buying internet-connected devices. Although this program won’t be implemented until end of 2024 and will initially only cover consumer-grade IoT devices, it is a significant move by the government towards establishing IoT security standards, thus marking a positive development for the industry.
