Scottish health board NHS Dumfries and Galloway is under threat from ransomware group INC Ransom, which says it has stolen and threatens to release three terabytes of patient and staff data. The board has collaborated with law enforcement, the National Cyber Security Centre, and the Scottish government to manage the crisis. Scotland’s health secretary Neil Gray said current measures have minimised the attack’s impact on patient services.
