Artificial intelligence (AI) has been quickly adopted in healthcare, but often the data is not ready, according to Richard Cramer, chief strategist for healthcare and life sciences at Informatica. This problem was discussed at HIMSS24 and the importance of “accessible, trustworthy, fit-for-purpose data” emphasized. Cramer stressed the importance of transparency in data sources and handling, to maintain trust. However, he highlighted that imperfect data can still be useful, if its imperfections are known.
