A study of 30 mobile healthcare (mHealth) apps found that all were vulnerable to cyberattacks. The study found that health and finance industries were lacking in visibility and monitoring of cybersecurity threats. In addition, over half of the healthcare firms surveyed prioritised implementing new features over security. The research also uncovered lucrative trade in medical records on the black market. There is growing pressure on healthcare companies to protect patient data.
