Rising Cybersecurity Threats in Healthcare

Over the past year, the U.S. healthcare sector saw a record 725 major data breaches, affecting 133 million individuals. The rising cybersecurity threats led the Senate to introduce the ‘Strengthening Cybersecurity in Health Care Act’ in response. These attacks have resulted in serious disruptions, financial losses and threats to patient safety. Greater efforts are required from all stakeholders to prevent future breaches and protect patient data.
