I mean, crikey, that’s more than 20 million people who could be directly affected!
In amongst their clients, there are well-known names like Carte Blanche Partenaires, Itelis, Kalixia, and Santéclair among others. Now, just to clarify, we don’t exactly know how many lovely souls have been affected by this breach. Even Viamedis itself is in the dark as investigations continue.
Christophe Candé, that’s their CEO, told AFP, “To date, we do not know precisely how many people have been affected, the matter is still under investigation.” And that right there, my friends, is an unsettling state to be in.
Now, you’d think, wouldn’t you – who on earth would be audacious enough to take responsibility for such a brazen act? Well, fascinatingly enough, no one has stepped forward. It’s like a modern-day version of an Agatha Christie whodunnit – who is the nefarious data burglar?
