Blue Shield of California members’ personal information may have been accessed during a cybersecurity breach targeting one of its vendors. Data possibly stolen includes: Social Security numbers, birth date and treatment details. The breach was launched in spring and Blue Shield notified about it in September. Affected members are being offered free credit monitoring and a dedicated call center for enquiries.
