Lower-Income People with Employer Coverage are More Likely to Report Negative Outcomes Due to Insurance Problems Than Their Higher-Income Peers

Lower-income adults with employer coverage are more likely to report negative health outcomes due to insurance difficulties, according to a KFF analysis. The study shows that those on lower incomes often experience delays in receiving required care or cannot get recommended treatments. Nearly three times more low-income individuals report moderate or severe health decline than high-income ones.
