The NKAbuse multi-platform threat utilises NKN (New Kind of Network) technology for data exchange on a peer-to-peer network, according to cybersecurity firm Kaspersky. The malware conducts distributed denial-of-service attacks and functions as an implant inside compromised systems. NKAbuse primarily targets Linux systems, including IoT devices. It uses the flexibility of the blockchain technology to communicate with the bot master and perform various tasks, which promises a steady expansion over time.
