Martin Wennberg, the estranged husband of wealthy Swedish businesswoman Louise Backstrom, has been handed a four-week jail term by a UK judge for failing to comply with court orders over a legal battle about money. Lawyers for Backstrom argued he hadn’t cooperated, while a distressed Wennberg maintained he’d tried his best. Evidence showed Wennberg has around £1.8m ($2.29m) in assets. An earlier ruling by the court had awarded him over £6.5m from his wife’s £250m fortune.
