The Russian government is planning to launch a malware scanning platform, akin to the Google-owned service VirusTotal, named “Multiscanner” by 2025, following concerns that the US government could access data. The new platform would not only check files and links using static analysis but also conduct behavioural analysis on the suspected malware in controlled sandbox environments.
