Google Expands Its Bug Bounty Program to Tackle Artificial Intelligence Threats

Google is expanding its Vulnerability Rewards Program (VRP) to include generative artificial intelligence (AI) systems. It aims to strengthen AI safety by compensating researchers who discover attack scenarios. Key concerns associated with AI include unfair bias, model manipulation, and misinterpretations of data. Google has also introduced an AI Red Team and pledged to secure the AI supply chain. Furthermore, Google and partners including OpenAI and Microsoft have launched a $10 million AI Safety Fund to support safety research.
