The Internet Security Alliance and the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) have issued guidelines demanding increased attention on cyber security from board members. Those bearing liability will need to be involved in risk-based funding decisions and familiar with potential costs, particularly in case of a breach. Boards have been asked to work with chief information security officers (CISOs) by granting them the requisite influence and resources to prioritise cyber security.
