Digital health firm DNV Imatis and the Western Norway Regional Health Authority have partnered to launch a new app to improve nurse-patient communication. Patients can use the app to communicate their needs to nurses, reducing unnecessary tasks. The app provides confirmation that the request has been seen by healthcare staff. In addition, it provides patients with details about their hospital stay. The app also aids better prioritisation of tasks by differentiating between critical and less urgent notifications.

Sens. Capito and Shaheen reintroduced the Access to Prescription Digital Therapeutics Act of 2023, aiming to expand access to FDA-approved software treatments for Medicare patients.
