Acorn Park Lodge, a care home catering for up to eight people with autism and complex needs, has been placed in special measures for failure to improve its service. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) found “serious failings”, citing issues such as a lack of dignified treatment, insufficient support and inadequate personalised care plans. The CQC has warned that if significant improvements are not seen in six months time, they will begin closure proceedings.
