The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has fined Equifax Ltd £11 million ($13.4 million) over its connection to a significant cybersecurity breach in 2017. The breach exposed the personal information of 147.9 million US consumers and 13.8 million UK consumers to hackers. The FCA said the breach, one of the largest in history, was preventable and exposed UK consumers to potential financial crime.
