MGM Resorts Operations Resume 10 Days After Cyberattack

MGM Resorts has resumed full operations 10 days after suffering a cyberattack from the ransomware group ALPHV. The attack affected MGM facilities across seven states, resulting in interruptions to hotel reservations, credit card processing, and key card functionality. The company estimates its loss from the disruption to be near $80 million. The incident is part of a rising trend in cyberattacks on casinos, including a recent attack on rival Caesars Entertainment.
