Scientists at the University of Innsbruck presented a new architecture for a universal quantum computer that would increase computing power. Named the LHZ architecture, it utilizes a new parity concept to reduce computing steps and speed up operations. It also includes a two-stage error correction system, split between the hardware and software. The research is being put into practice by spin-off company ParityQC.
