Women pay more than men in out-of-pocket health costs, study finds

Women spend $266 more than men annually on out-of-pocket healthcare costs, excluding pregnancy-related expenses, according to a Deloitte report. Nationwide, female workers spend an estimated $15 billion more each year than male counterparts. The report suggests that employers and insurers should reconsider their coverage to ensure equity.
