Noname Security’s API Security Report Reveals API Security

Noname Security’s annual API security report found an increased number of API security incidents, making API security a higher priority. The study revealed that API security testing has improved, with 94% of respondents expressing confidence in their application testing tools. However, despite a year-on-year increase in complete API inventories, only 40% of respondents have visibility into data-sensitive returns. Most API attacks in 2023 targeted Web Application Firewalls, Network Firewalls, and API Gateways, a shift from previously common dormant/zombie API attacks.
