NSW bug hunters turned up 22,000 vulnerabilities in gov computers in 2022 – Security

The 2022 year in review report by Cyber Security NSW revealed over 22,000 vulnerabilities within NSW government systems. In addition, privacy disclosures were detected and 77,000 passwords from prior data breaches were found within various agency networks. The cyber security team also focused on addressing the Log4j vulnerability. The report acknowledged deficiencies in council service delivery and pledged to improve compliance with cybersecurity policies.
