Medicare Advantage (MA) enrollees have over 50% fewer hospital stays and 22% fewer emergency visits compared with traditional Medicare enrollees, while having comparable access to high quality care, according to a study by Harvard Medical School and Inovalon. The study found no reductions in care quality and revealed there are no significant differences in healthcare utilization for MA beneficiaries before and after enrollment, contrary to traditional enrollees.
