Pharmacist prescribers fill important gaps in the Canadian healthcare system

Over 2 million Ontarians lack access to a family doctor, exacerbating the problem of “hallway medicine”. Although this has sparked concerns about patient safety, it’s a practice already in place in the UK and Alberta. The measure is seen as a win-win solution, reducing physician workloads and providing timely care for patients.
