Jocelyn Samuels has been appointed as the new director of the Office for Civil Rights (OCR), replacing Leon Rodriguez. Samuels previously held a position at the Department of Justice, where she enforced federal laws against discrimination. She will oversee HIPAA compliance and the official audit program, which is expected to begin later this year or early next year.
