Sen. Lamar Alexander, chair of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions, announced an intensive review of electronic health records (EHRs) during a hearing. Alexander and Patty Murray, ranking member of HELP, have formed a working group on EHR usability. Testimony from four experts followed the announcements, discussing the need to make EHRs more effective and interoperable.
