Malware attack causes breach of 134,512 patient records

It is the second-largest breach this year and the largest in New York since 2016. The server breach was discovered on the same day, limiting the hackers’ access. Patient data may have been viewed, accessed, or stolen. The breach only affected patients of the Surgery and Endoscopy Center, and notification letters were sent to them.
