Healthcare organizations are making progress in improving their cybersecurity, reducing their risk faster than other industries, according to a report from Veracode. The report found that healthcare was closing the window on application risk more quickly than any other sector, and scored highly in State of Software Security metrics. However, the report also found that healthcare organizations are scanning apps infrequently and employees lack necessary security awareness, leaving them vulnerable to attack. The report recommended that healthcare organizations focus on regular app scanning and implement two-factor authentication with segmentation to minimize risk.
