Ministry of Defence documents leaked in cyber attack

The LockBit ransomware group has reportedly stolen thousands of Ministry of Defence papers by hacking into fencing manufacturers Zaun. The data, which were uploaded to the dark web, allegedly include details that could enable access to various secure sites, including a Scottish submarine base and several high-security prisons. Zaun claimed no classified documents were compromised, but is liaising with the National Cyber Security Centre. The incident has raised questions about UK data security, further exacerbated by Russian tensions.
