System outages reported in some public hospitals, health facilities in Singapore

System interruptions have caused delays and longer wait times in some public hospitals and healthcare facilities in Singapore. The incidents, which have occurred over the past six weeks, were caused by bugs in the hardware devices in data centers. The Integrated Health Information Systems is working on resolving the issues and has increased network capacity for more resilience. The interruptions have not compromised urgent care services or patient security.
