Radware’s First Half 2023 Global Threat Analysis Report reveals a significant change in Denial-of-Service attack patterns. Figures showed a 500% increase in malicious web application transactions, with attacks moving from network layers to the application layer. DNS Flood attacks almost doubled, and larger, more complex attacks increased. Hacktivist groups, including NoName057(16) and Anonymous Sudan, claimed significant numbers of these attacks. Globally, India, the US, and Israel were the most targeted, with the most attacked sectors being government, business and travel. The report showed research, education, and technology companies suffered the most attacks.
