Community Health Systems (CHS) reported a data breach resulting in an unauthorized disclosure of patient data. The breach was a result of a zero-day remote code injection exploit in the GoAnywhere managed file transfer platform. According to CHS, patient care was not affected by the breach. The Clop ransomware gang claimed responsibility for the breach, stating that they stole data over a 10-day period. This is not the first time CHS has experienced a data breach, as they dealt with a similar incident in 2014.
