Amazon Web Services (AWS) has introduced three new features for its Amazon HealthLake service, aimed at helping healthcare organizations comply with interoperability standards. The features include SMART on FHIR, which allows users to authorize access to FHIR data; Patient Access API, which enables the creation of patient and provider-facing applications; and FHIR Bulk Data Access API, which facilitates secure data export. Additionally, the HealthLake Analytics module transforms transactional data into a flattened format for easier analysis.
