Many security practices and behaviours in cloud environments are risky, yet companies still believe their security tools and processes are effective, finds a report by Permiso. Of those surveyed, 50% reported cloud data breaches due to unauthorized access, 95% expressed concern over tools and teams’ ability to detect and respond to security events. Yet, over 80% felt their tooling and configuration would sufficiently protect the organization from a well-orchestrated cloud attack. The report highlights the need for better identity management and security solutions to tackle these challenges.
