8220 Gang Exploiting Oracle WebLogic Server Vulnerability to Spread Malware

The 8220 Gang is exploiting a high-severity flaw (CVE-2020-14883) in Oracle WebLogic Server to spread its malware, according to a report by cybersecurity firm Imperva. By exploiting this flaw, attackers can hijack susceptible servers. The 8220 Gang has previously used similar tactics to distribute cryptojacking malware. The group’s targets include healthcare, telecommunications, and financial services sectors in various countries, including the US, South Africa, Spain, Columbia, and Mexico.
