A recent study by Claroty reveals that healthcare networks and medical devices are extremely vulnerable to cyberattacks. 63% of the exploited vulnerabilities listed by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) are found on such networks, and about 23% of medical devices contain at least one. Moreover, 14% of connected medical devices use unsupported or obsolete systems, making them susceptible to unpatchable vulnerabilities. Claroty suggests addressing these issues through secure remote access, risk prioritization and segmentation.
