60 Million Android Users Infected By Malicious Vapor App Threat On Google Play

Bitdefender has found that over 60 million users have recently downloaded malicious apps from the Google Play Store implicated in large-scale ad fraud campaigns. Cybercriminals are continually finding ways to evade Google’s security measures and launch cyberattacks. Bitdefender and IAS Threat Lab have identified over 330 malicious apps implicated in the ad fraud campaign. Despite security companies notifying Google of these, 15 are still available on the Play Store.
