Australian superannuation funds have been targeted by hackers this week, with some customers losing a combined half a million dollars, and others’ data being compromised, according to the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA). Hostplus, Rest, AustralianSuper and Australian Retirement Trust were among the funds hit. The funds are contacting affected members and are working with government agencies to respond to these cyber attacks. AustralianSuper advised members to ensure their account details are correct and passwords strong.
