The settlements included a $1.4 million compensation for a third-party vendor, Inmediata, that left patient data exposed for three years due to a software coding flaw. Also, Personal Touch Home Care agreed to a $350,000 settlement for a ransomware attack affecting data of almost 317,000 patients and employees. Additionally, Falcon Technologies agreed to a $100,000 settlement for failing to secure Personal Touch’s enrollment data.
