32 physicians leave Optum-owned medical group in 2 years

Oregon Medical Group, owned by UnitedHealth Group’s Optum, is having to drop patients due to a shortage of physicians with 32 leaving in the past two years. Some of these doctors treat up to 2,800 patients, leading to concerns about access to healthcare for potentially thousands. The Oregon-based company was acquired by Optum in 2020, which also bought GreenField Health in 2021.
