3 years into Cleveland Clinic’s MRI brain study: What to know

Cleveland Clinic researchers are conducting a longitudinal brain study to identify early signs of neurological disorders. Over 3,600 participants aged 50 to 90 have been enrolled, with findings including silent strokes, myelin problems, brain aneurysms, and low-grade brain tumors. The team also identified participants unaware of their depression, anxiety, or sleep apnea. Future plans involve studying brain connectivity and utilizing a 3T MRI machine in a new facility by 2026.
